Following a slow opening for their premiere store in Milwaukee, Pick 'n Save decided to re-visit non-traditional ways to promote the store, including online options. Our initial goal was to build a database of customers for demographic mapping purposes for the client. We decided to use a series of contests to build the database. The challenges we faced were the new and unique nature of the store and location, the lack of a consumer facing website for Metro Market, and a lack of history with online campaigns.
The results were dramatic. The online advertising translated into more business for the store. The ads below are an example of how we used dayparts to promote unique features of the store to consumers. The lunch ads generated click thrus of .27%.
