Lakeland College wanted to promote their online degree program with a road-block campaign.

Looking back at the creative maybe it wasn't as clever as it could have been. I definitely did not want to give the impression that you could sleep your way through a degree. But with the ad copy I had I went to work on this campaign.

Using Local Connect in Flash 6 I had the two ad units talk to each other. If a user rolled over either ad both of them would be triggered into animation. The effect was quite eye-catching as a road-block and click thrus were .21%, almost 3 times the industry average. Without a very clear message the creative held it's own over 200,000+ impressions.
