Packer Insider is a pay-for site that features exclusive coverage of the Green Bay Packers. The content is excellent but many of the ad sets to promote the section focused on all their features. The text heavy ads performed below the industry average for the most part. Capitalizing on some of the great photography we had I urged the powers that be to go with some image intensive ads. The first set of ads, seen below, focused on Brett Favre, Darren Sharper and Ahman Green. Whether promoting a Packer win or loss the results were almost identical with click thrus jumping over .20% over 1,000,000 impressions a month. The minimal content didn't overwhelm the user and instead played off the emotional connection with the team. With click thrus going up so did sales of the product.
